What is EPFO UAN Login Portal & is it mandatory for an employee?
If the employee & employer contributing amount to employee’s EPF account for each month, unfortunately, if the employee left his/her present job, and after some days if he/she got another job in some other company, which is providing PF to their employees, at this time the employee again needs to open a new PF account, and he can’t withdraw the previous PF amount until few months.
So this is a big loss for any employee. How to Generate the UAN number?
In the job is the employee’s first job, and then he/she generates this UAN. If once, UAN created, it can’t be unchanged or modified. It’s a one-time process only. This process requires some documents:
Employees bank account number, bank name, and IFSC code.
Identification Proof documents like Driving licence, passport, and voter ID, and Aadhaar card.
Address proof like ration card, utility bill on your name.
Mandatory is PAN and Aadhaar card.

Activating the UAN number
Visit the https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ and clicks UAN activating UAN tab.
Next, by giving the registered mobile number and PAN and Aadhaar card number, a verification number will be sent to the registered, mobile number.
After entering the OTP, UAN will be activated.

Employee details: Once login with credentials completed in the EPF unified portal, the employee can see all the details. If any details were wrong, he/she can edit it and correct it.
PF account details: After login completed the employee can check all details include with their PF account number in that page.
PF balance details: After login, it will display the available PF balance in that page.
Claims details: If any previous claims were done, the employee can know those details.
UAN card: The employee can download the universal account number if he/she successfully finishes the login process.
KYC details: The employee can update all the required details for KYC can be done through EPF unified India portal.
Withdraw PF: The employee can withdraw their PF thorough EPF unified portal, in the claim tab there is an option like – proceed for online claiming of PF amount.
